How to farm Essence

Essence comes from selling mounts, quests, and some codes. Spend it on the next key before you spend it on potions.

Essence is the currency that buys potions, Fast Scrolls, island keys, and the daily mount. You do not roll Essence directly. You create it by breaking down mounts you do not need, and you sometimes receive a lump from a code or a quest.

Where Essence comes from

  • Sell or disenchant a mount from the mount menu. Early gameplay showed small commons paying tens of Essence and a rarer example paying 128. Payouts scale with the ride. Read the sell preview.
  • Auto-sell does the same conversion while Auto Roll runs. Set the cutoff under the mounts you want to keep.
  • Quest boards pay potions and sometimes a Fast Scroll or other shop goods. Those still save Essence you would have spent.
  • Some expired codes paid 12,000 Essence (10KLIKES, 1MILVISITS, RICHLIKETHAT, PRAISETHECUBE42). Do not expect those strings to pay again.
  • Double Essences, 240 Robux, doubles Essence from any source, including sales. It does not double Luck.

What to buy, in order

  1. The next badge-spine key you cannot enter yet, if the shop is selling travel into Auntum Fields, Paradise, Frozen Reach, or Celestial Peak. Older notes guessed desert, ocean, and sky keys anywhere from the tens of thousands to around 250,000 Essence. Those figures move. Use the number on the button.
  2. A key you were sent to buy by a quest.
  3. Ultra Luck or a Fast Scroll, only for a roll window you are about to start. See the Luck guide.
  4. Halloween Key (about 42,000) or Anime Key (about 54,000) when you want that theme's table and that island is not already on the map.
  5. The daily mount when its listed odds are a ride you would otherwise chase for days, and you can see the Essence price. An early example was about 94,000 Essence for a 1-in-500,000 mount. The daily offer changes.

Shine for All is a group purchase. Buy it when other people in the lobby are actually rolling, not to buff an empty server.

What not to sell

Keep one copy of any code exclusive, any mount you need equipped for a rarity gate, and anything whose global count or cutscene you still want on the account. Sell the second copy. A code mount that becomes Essence by habit is gone even if the code later expires.

If you are short of a key, more Luck will not print Essence. Roll commons, sell them, finish the board, then come back to the shop.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is MOUNT RNG?

MOUNT RNG is a Roblox incremental simulator by TaleSun Studios. You roll for more than 700 mounts, sell duplicates for Essence, unlock islands, and fight beasts. Version 1.54, Update 54, is the Halloween update described on the official page.

How do I raise Luck without Robux?

Like the game, join the TaleSun Studios group, and turn on notifications for +20 Luck. Each friend in your 12-player server adds +5 Luck, and those bonuses stack. Free ground potions add +50 Luck for one minute. Buy Ultra Luck only after that free stack is on.

Which codes should I try first?

Try CORTISOL, FORTNIGHT, LESSON5, SIGH, and 2YEARS first. Mid-October 2026 lists repeat those more often than the rest. The other active rows are still printed by at least one October list and marked expired by another, so enter each one once and stop if it fails. The live version 1.54 description does not print code strings.

How many official badges are there?

The Roblox catalog for this experience lists seven badges: Welcome to Mount RNG, Auntum Fields, Paradise Island, Frozen Reach, Celestial Peak, The Magma Lair, and Against the Test of Time for obtaining Azatoth on the secret island.
